How important is meal frequency?
This is a topic that has caused debate for years now, and a topic that in the eyes of many is probably the most important factor to take into account for fat loss.
But does meal frequency really matter?
Does it bring an extra benefit to your goals?
Does it turn your body into a fat burning machine by speeding up your metabolism?
The answer is NO, no it doesn't. And there's enough research around that disproves the meal frequency myth.
The frequency of your meals should be determined by your own personal preference. If you like to eat 6, 8 or 10 meals a day by all means, keep at it. Or maybe you prefer taking the intermittent fasting road and eat all your calories in 1 or 2 meals, it's up to you.
At the end of the day what will determine whether you lose or gain weight will always be your total energy balance (calories in vs calories out) and not the frequency of your meals.
