Don't be afraid of the weights!
Focus more on the weights and less on cardio!
There should always be room to do both cardio and weights in any routine. But your main focus and energy should be spent on the weights. Because cardio while being a good tool to burn extra calories, it can be detrimental for bodybuilding when abused of. Too much cardio may help you lose weight, but it's not so great for sustaining muscle mass.
Another benefit of focusing on weights is that they change your body composition for the better. They don't just make you lose weight, they build muscle! And muscle mass is whats going to give you that athletic shape you're looking for. Without that muscle mass you're only going to achieve a soft skinny-fat look.
And ladies, don't be afraid to train like men! Push yourself and move heavy weights. But always remember to take care of your form to avoid injury!
